All I want for Christmas… is to never hear that word again!
July 14, 2018Creative Thinking. Corporate Christmas Party Planning.
August 2, 2018Creative, activity packed parties are sure to put everyone in a great mood and can give you more than just a few giggles along the way. A few weeks back we took a look at some of the best themes for your corporate (Christmas) party, but this month we want to bring some more fun filled activities into the spotlight. Why not mix things up a bit and try your hand at cocktail making, or learn some trendy new dance moves. You might even want to pull out those old classic party games. The sky’s the limit, but we can’t list everything here. So if none of these take your fancy, stay tuned for more corporate party ideas over the coming months!
Cocktail Making Parties
Whipping up an amazing cocktail doesn’t need to be left to the professionals. We can all have loads of fun having a go ourselves. Why not set up multiple mixing stations so your guests can turn their hand to creating sweet and sugary mixes, gin-tails, rum based concoctions, sparkling drinks and much more. You have the option of hiring professionals to show you how it’s done, or alternatively, just go crazy and let everyone loose on the drinks stations to mix their very own unique, alcohol fuelled drinks. Either way, it’s sure to have everyone enjoying the moment. Mix a little, drink a little. Mix a little, drink a lot. The best thing about cocktail mixing parties? Everything! Plus, who cares if your hand accidentally slips and you end up pouring in three or four shots instead of the one. That’s what we call a learning curve.
Dance Parties
No, we don’t mean raves. Although we have been known to throw and host quite a few of those too. But what we are talking about is learning to dance. Salsa, Bachata, Sensual Bachata, Kizomba (this ones a little risque) and Semba. There are loads to choose from and they’re sure to get the blood pumping. Hire an experienced instructor for the night and get a few dance classes going. You can learn a short dance routine pretty quickly, as well as picking up a few new moves that can be used to impress your friends next time you’re out on the town. Don’t forget though, dancing isn’t the only thing you’ll need at your party. It’s all about socialising too. So make sure you’ve got some great music, good food and lots of drink to keep everyone happy. This is one party sure to go off with a bang!
Party Games Night
Children’s party games for adults. Because we cant think of a single reason why not! When is the last time you was subjected to an evening of limbo-ing, musical chairs or even Simon Says? Well, make the most of your childhood memories and smash the competition at all of these. There are loads of active and sit down games available to make your night a huge success and you can even supply prizes for the winners. I vote for pass the parcel! Of course, once all of the games have descended into chaos – we expect nothing less – then why not finish the evening off with a bit of a disco dancing and a Conga line. Wallah, you have succeeded in creating madcap adult fun from childish games. Then it’s home and time to play sleeping lions. Some of the oldies are the best, don’t you think?
Wine/Gin/Beer Tasting
Now, no judging here please, but my mind always seems to wander back round to drinking. I know, I am as shocked as you! Which is why one of my favourite corporate parties (or any parties) of all time, includes a little bit of taste testing. Or a lot of taste testing. Remember though, you’re not supposed to swallow every time you taste. Haha, yeah right! Whatever is the top of your list for favourite drinks, you can plan your corporate party or event around taste testing a wide selection of different flavours to get tongues wagging and tastebuds thinking. Then at the end of the night we will all go home a little worse for wear. Any objections? I didn’t think so!
Pamper Party
This one is for EVERYONE. Trust me, spending an evening sitting back, relaxing into a nice facial, manicure – this doesn’t have to involve nail polish but it sure does look pretty – or massage; and sipping on a glass of chilled champagne. What’s not to love? I for one didn’t hear anything I don’t like about that. The trick with this one is to make it a mid-week experience for your team. That way, not only can you sit and chill out with your colleagues, but you will all go home feeling super relaxed, sated and ready for the rest of your working week. Corporate party planning has reached peak relax. I think the word is…winning!
