The Chapel Bar’s Guide to Luxury. Let’s Party on into Christmas 2018.
October 14, 2018Love or Hate it, the C word is back again! 5 Christmas Tipples to make you Topple!
November 17, 2018November is finally here and we are absolutely loving the pre-Christmas party spirit going on around us. With the festive season just around the corner, the shops are starting to become hives of activity and entertainment; and this month also sees us celebrating a whole host of enjoyable family-friendly activities. We have the traditional Fireworks night at the start of the month; and events such as Winter Wonderland, the Southbank Centre’s Wintertime Festival and Christmas at Kew Gardens, towards the end. Not to mention the abundance of Christmas light switch-on events going on all over London. November marks the official start of the seasonal festivities; and this month is when London is at it’s most exciting.
Everything is an enjoyable, but all too often overwhelming experience at this time of year so it’s no wonder that November also sees us recognising National Stress Awareness Day. It certainly couldn’t fall at a better time of year. With that in mind we have dedicated this months’ blog to highlighting some of the best ways to limit your pre-Christmas stress and still enjoy all of the wild and whacky excitement that is going on around you!
Pre-Planning your Visit
Some people like to hop on a train or a bus and see where the day takes them. Others don’t. Whichever camp you fall into, it doesn’t hurt to be a little bit organised if you are limited for time. Especially during the busy seasons. Pre-planning your day doesn’t mean you have to stick to a rigid schedule either. It can just be about making sure that you don’t suddenly end up having to rush around in a panic at the last minute. Planning ahead will help you make the most out of your day and is always advised at this time of year. Hotels, events, experiences and eating out, it all fills up fast; and there’s nothing worse than having to wait hours for somewhere to rest when it’s freezing cold outside. Hopefully, if you plan a little, then you won’t miss anything that you really don’t want to.
Take a break
One of the best things about London is the huge range of eateries that are available just about everywhere. Some of these can get pretty busy and some are booked up in advance, so it’s important to stop and take a break and get some much needed energy so that you can finish your day without being slowed down by the dreaded hunger pangs. Especially when you’ve been walking around for hours on end, trying to hunt down the perfect Christmas gifts for your nearest and dearest. Pop into a coffee shop or opt for a nice cold beer in the nearest bar; or even grab a drink and snack for on-the-go. It will all depend on how much warmth you need. After all, the weather has totally turned on us all now and a warm place to sit down is likely to be more than welcome.
Staying in London
If a day trip is just simply not long enough, then why not spend a long, event-packed weekend in London. Pre-planning for this is absolutely essential to make sure you’re not left disappointed. As with everything else in London, hotels have been taking booking for the past few months for the Christmas season. If you are hosting a party of your own, then don’t forget that some of your guests may also need to plan for staying nearby. There are an abundance of hotels to choose from in Islington and the surrounding areas, perfect for hosting an event at our private hire venue or for just extending your stay in London so you can continue to shop-till-you-drop.
Stress-Free Christmas Event Planning
If you are planning a corporate or private event this month or even for your events stretching well into the new year, then not only do you need to book a venue early, but you also need to ensure that your entertainment options don’t become too severely limited. We don’t think you are going to want to have to get up and entertain your guests yourself at the last minute. Although I’m sure some might enjoy that! Mostly, we want to see you relaxing and enjoying the entertainment along with all your other guests. Worry-free. Booking your entertainment and venue go hand-in-hand and our team have years of experience at ensuring everything runs smoothly. Entertainment is second nature to us and relieving stress is just a part of the experience we provide.
At The Chapel Bar, we like to make sure all of our guests have as stress free an experience as possible, which is why we can help you to take care of everything. Our team can help you to organise and plan every detail, from entertainment, to food and drink, to helping you pick and set up the perfect theme. We aim to help make your event a truly magical and relaxing experience. The Chapel Bar also holds a 3am licence, allowing you and your guests to party late into the night. For more information or to book at our private hire venue, you can contact us online or email info@thechapelbar.co.uk. Alternatively, you can call us on 020 7833 4090.
